About Kimbrell Insurance Group

Founded in 1986, Kimbrell Insurance Group is domiciled in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. The company progressed steadily throughout its first decade by providing Excess & Surplus products to retail agents. Coinciding with the company's 10th anniversary and to further expand the services provided to our retail agents, Preferred Markets, Inc. was formed to exclusively provide standard products on an admitted basis only.

Complementing the organization, The Kimbrell Company, Inc./Florida and Preferred Markets, Inc./Florida were established January 1, 1998.

Atlantic Acceptance Corporation provides premium financing to our South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia agents creating convenience and ease in securing financing with one call.

On January 1st, 2004, The Kimbrell Company, Inc. and all related affiliates were acquired by First Financial Holdings, Inc. This acquisition places Kimbrell Insurance Group in a position to better accomplish its founding objectives and principles:
